IMPORTANCE OF CHEMICAL RESIDUES IN MILK ON PUBLIC HEALTH

A number of chemical substances such as pesticides, radionuclides, heavy metals, and nitrates and nitrites, can be found in milk and dairy products, which may cause health problems to consumers. This paper reviews data about chemical residues most frequently found in milk and dairy products as well as the health disorders showed in people exposed to them. Dairy products are widely consumed by Mexican population; however, they are not usually analyzed for chemical residues which can be a risk to the consumers.Downloads
